About this vhs filter

Turn a still image into a worn tape frame. The VCR treatment adds scan lines, soft chroma bleed and small tracking slips without uploading your photo. Your image stays in the browser while the editor applies the effect. Use the preview divider to check the difference before downloading.

Effect controls

The main controls set tape wear. More controls add optional VCR details and frame bend.

Scan lines, Color bleed, Tracking jitter, Tape noise, Frame bend, VCR timecode are available in the editor. Every slider updates the preview, and you can reset controls at any time.

What does a VHS filter change?

Can I use the VHS effect for free?

Yes. All presets are free. Exports have no watermark and are limited to 1080 pixels wide and the daily free allowance.

Do I need a VCR or video file?

No. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP still image. This tool creates a VHS-inspired photo treatment in the browser.

Does the editor upload my image?

No. The image is decoded and edited on your device. It is not uploaded to an image-processing server.
